New Edition: Antwerp Tax
At the time of the exhibition "I don't get it" in 2007 at the Antwerp Photography Museum, the project 'Antwerp-Tax' was launched. Together with master printer and long-time partner in print, Roger Vandaele, 8 portraits of taxidrivers were produced to be placed next to the logo of the taxi company on the side of their cab. An original on MDF board could be seen in the window of the premises Waalse Kaai nr. 31 in Antwerp. In the tradition of temporary works of Luc Tuymans, this work is destroyed in July 2007. The project however gets a graphic tail in November 2008 with the edition 'Antwerp-Tax': a beautiful screenprint on Somerset, 300 grams, format 70 x 90 cm, with all 8 portraits of the cab drivers next to eachother.Signed and numbered in pencil at a limited edition of 60 pieces.
